Mindful Friendships

June 13, 2026

Around this time, I always think about all of my friendships. So many friends I’ve lost gained and kept along the way. This is my birthday month so I tend to think about who I do have in my circle and why do I have them in my circle. I believe a lot of it is growing as a person not our relationships are meant to be forever. Sometimes people come into your life for a season and that’s OK because we have we all have a purpose in someone’s life. I’m at the point where I would only prefer a mindful relationship with someone. A friendship that would be worth keeping and a friendship that is not draining the life out of you. Knowing your worth and standing on what you believe in is super important and I feel like that’s how you create boundaries which helps everyone around you understand the type of person you are.

Can we establish boundaries?!

My opinion:

Everyone wants to be respected, but I don’t think everyone understands the whole concept of actually being valued for example, my time is very important to me so I would like my time to be valued. So it’s a must to put your foot down when necessary and know when to leave a friendship when you’ve outgrown that person. Friendships are the core of life, and those bonds are amazing when both parties truly understand each other and respect each other.

  • Friendship is a voluntary, mutual bond of affection and trust between people. It goes beyond a simple acquaintance and is defined by emotional support, shared experiences, and a reciprocal desire to see each other thrive.
