The Massage Of My Life

Sento Luxury Spa

Talk about an experience! I recently came back from El Salvador for my birthday trip and I had one of the best spa experiences ever.

Have you ever gone out of the country just for a massage. I'm super big on selfcare, so I'm definitely going to have a spa day anywhere and anytime! Sento Spa and salon is the epitome of luxury. I had an amazing experience at Sento Luxury Spa. Not just because of the two glasses of wine by the poolside but the amazing view from a private room where I got the best massage a body could ask for. If you don't fall asleep during a massage it wasn't that good. Honey, I was knocked out completely from the amazing aromas in the room and the softest hands. I would recommend this spa to anyone who is interested in relaxing in pure luxury or celebrating a milestone. I had no idea what to expect, so I tried out the deep tissue massage which was absolutely perfection. 9.2/10 experience and the staff was very attentive. The property alone was beautiful.

The entrance

Outdoor pool

  • When you first arrive the staff gives you a locker which is fully stocked with a robe, towel, slippers and disposable underwear.

  • After you head to the outdoor pool, you order your drink of choice.

  • You have the option of going in the saunas or hot tub before they call you for your massage.

Summer in Cabo

Here are a few things I did in Cabo, Mexico:

  • Camel Back Riding- Booked a session with Cactus Tours. 10/10 experience. The tour also included food and drinks. The camel ride was along Migrino Beach. There were photographers taking photos the whole way and you get to choose which photos you want to purchase at the end of the tour. No phone photos or videos were allowed. The tour guides were very informative. I enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone even young children as well. If you have any back issues, this probably won’t work for you.

  • Clear Boat Ride- Reservations were made with Envatours Cabo. 4/10 experience. They provided life vest and no shoes were allowed on the boat. The boat tour went to Lover’s beach and the Arch. Pictures were taken as well on this tour which were for purchase at the end. One of the tour guides were not very pleasant. The tour seemed a bit rushed especially when photos were being taken. Overall I did not hate the experience but I won’t book with this company. I do not recommend this company.

  • Tequila Tasting- Booked with Cactus Tours. 9/10 experience. This was included with the camel ride and there was a variety of tequilas to try. I’m not big on alcohol but I was highly impressed by the different flavors to try.

  • Stretching Class- The resort provided the class. 10/10 experience. This was my first stretching class and it was not as hard as I thought it would be. I definitely recommend this class or any classes that may have you active on vacation.

A Skin Care Must Have

I’m always looking for good skincare, I might have an actual problem lol. Finding the right skincare is definitely satisfying and probably makes me the happiest. Right now my obsession with face masks is a little compulsive. As soon as I read the benefits of the mask, I’m completely sold.

Wellness Journey

Whew! It’s been a long but short year. Everyone is starting their new year in March I heard. Sticking to routines and accomplishing goals can be tough. That’s why it’s so important to do a monthly check up, not just with your doctor but with your internal self. Super important to stay in tune with yourself, your body always tells you when something is wrong or something is good.

I struggled with my weight, skin and hair. I was always feeling drained and tired. I was overeating, consuming the wrong foods, staying up late, not staying consistent with my vitamins and not exercising enough.

One thing that helped was creating a routine that I could stick to. Most days you won’t feel motivated but you have to stay disciplined. I learned that during Covid with so many different wellness influencers. Our bodies thrive with discipline!

Dis·ci·pline

the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior.

Wellness includes:

  • Sleep

  • Nutrition

  • Mindfulness

  • Exercise

Each one of these can help with physical and mental well being.

A few ways to start your wellness journey:

  • Act of kindness- try giving back to your community (I usually donate to the church or less fortunate)

  • Practicing gratitude- always be thankful in a good or bad situation. (someone might be experiencing worst situations.)

  • Stay active- try going to the gym or 30 mins home workouts (our bodies are craving to be mobile)

  • Rest- don’t overload your mind with too much (try reading a few books/ articles for active rest days)

  • Limit your social media - time yourself on each app, sometimes scrolling can send you down a rabbit hole (I have a time limit on Instagram, you can set it up in your phone settings)

  • Set that routine- whether it’s waking up early, going to bed early or taking your vitamins etc.

Healthy Habits = Healthy Hair

Feeling down? You might just need to do your hair. A new hairdo always makes me feel better but healthy hair is top tier.

Hair supplements are great but what about actually getting the direct source of nutrients from your food for your hair. Changing your diet may help your hair journey. I currently don’t take any hair supplements just my daily vitamins and lots of water. And yes water will make your hair grow strong. Healthy hair grows from nourished oiled roots.
