A scrub you’ll love!

Let’s talk about an affordable, amazing smelling, and moisturizing body scrub. One of my all time favorite scrubs, I’m talking about just straight velvet skin after one use. While reaping the benefits of the vitamin E oil, aloe Vera and Shea butter just soaking into your skin.

I’ve been using soap & glory’s line since before it was actually sold in stores. And I quickly became addicted to the alluring smell.

I first tried the body butter (because who doesn’t love a good body butter) and I’m telling you it’s the best smell. I get so many compliments on the body butter when I wear it. Especially in the night before bed and waking up smelling luxurious. It doesn’t get any better than that.

I recommend this body scrub to anyone who has sensitive and dry skin. The moisture in this scrub is intense and warm. Following up with the body butter the scent is long lasting and will have your skin feel smooth. I usually use the scrub every time I shower or when I need some extra pampering. I exfoliate my elbows all the way down to the heels of my feet. It’s tempting but don’t over exfoliate.

There’s different scents to choose from but my favorite is the original body butter. If I had to describe the smell it would be sweet almond mixed with luxury and it literally feels like butter on your skin. The consistency is thick but smooth and definitely moisturizing. You can find it at any drug stores such as Walgreens, etc.

Tulum: Where you should stay!

It’s the view for me

Mojito by the pool.

If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, you should try Tulum. You won’t regret it! I’ve been to Cabo, Mexico before this trip to Tulum but Tulum definitely makes a statement. This place is super Instagram worthy but make sure you bring your own liquor because most places out there are a little stingy with the alcohol. Just saying minus that you’ll love it out there. The hotel I stayed at was breath taking and everything and more in person. We stayed at the “Copal Tulum Hotel” and they loved us lol. The staff was super friendly and helpful, so they made our stay even better. If I had to guess the theme for the hotel it would probably be cozy jungle. From the big leaves to the tall bamboo trees, everyday was a breath of fresh air waking up to paradise and feeling the warmth of the humidity surrounding my skin.

Night Life in Tulum:

Honestly there is no real night life in Tulum. I would consider Tulum to be more of a chill and soothing place to be but I’m not saying you can’t have fun out there. It’s no Miami night life but they do have entertainment and it also depends who you go with as well. One of the places that I would recommend visiting out there is “TABOO”. Not so much for the food but definitely for the hookah and vibes, if that’s something you’re into of course. The fresh guacamole and chips were really good, I must say.

Chips and Guac.

What you should have:

  • Set budget when Changing currency.

  • Learn a good amount of Spanish before going or have google translator near by. (Know your stuff before you go).

  • Rent a car to get around (It’s cheaper).

  • Make reservations/book activities in advance.

  • Make connections with the staff.

  • Bring Bug replant/sunscreen.

  • Double check reservations and cancellation policies.

Favorite Places to be:

White Sand Beach

The humidity out there is high, so the water is where you would want to spend most of your time to be honest. The pool became my favorite with a cold drink not too far from my side. I’m definitely the more tranquil vacation type.

Take Advantage of:

There’s so many activities to do in Tulum and places to explore. Take advantage of the good weather and beautiful beaches. I went to a few beach clubs and had an amazing breakfast on the beach with an unbelievable view. Spoil much ?!

You Must:

Put down your phone and take in the scenery because Tulum is a beautiful yet peaceful place to visit. Even though I couldn’t stop taking pictures but I did say previously that this place is Instagram worthy!

How I Edit My Photos

Edit Like A Pro

What’s your pics looking like?

I’m about to list some of my holy grail editing apps, that take my photos to a whole other level. Regardless of what type of phone or camera you may own, all of these apps are accessible to your finger tips. I remember shooting from a iPhone 6 for about 4 years. All the photos i took were not the best quality until I adjusted the lighting or made the details sharper. Presets have made a big difference for me and has took my creativity up a notch. A preset  is a configuration of settings, designed to achieve a certain look or style of your photo. With just one click on a preset, your photo can be altered to have a film look or to achieve the tones you desired.

I used a Preset for this photo:

Have A Smoothie Day

Who doesn’t want to start the New year off right?

image0 (8).jpeg

I’ve been starting my days off with fruit and haven’t regret it since. I mix different fruits using my nutribullet. Depending on my mood I usually colorize my smoothies to whatever mood I wake up in. According to the food pyramid we should have at least 2 to 4 servings of fruit and 4 to 6 servings of vegetable each day. There’s so many gains from just including fruit into your diet.

Did You Know?

Blueberries and bananas is 2 of the top 10 fruits you should eat everyday. Blueberries are high in anti-oxidants and helps with cognitive ability. Bananas has a high amount of potassium and fiber which helps the heart.

Oranges are one of the most popular fruits in the world. Oranges and mangoes are known to provide a significant amount of vitamin C.

How I Make My Smoothies

When I’m making my smoothies I usually mix the tart fruits (berries, etc) with sweet fruits (bananas or mangoes) together to balance out the flavors. I get my color inspirations from pinterest. Since I don’t use milk and I barely use yogurt in my smoothies, the consistency is not as thick. So in order for my colors to separate and not mix into each other I have to slice thin layers of fruit and put it in between as a base.

Self care : Taking Care Of The Real You

To fall in love with yourself is to love all your flaws without a doubt. Not just to love your outer appearance or physical features but the internal you. The soulful you, that part of you that no one else can see and the part that can’t be physically altered.

What is it like to have a beautiful soul?

What is it like to see another person’s light?

What is it like to give off an aura unlike no other?

I wonder how many of us are truly happy within ourselves. Taking care of ourselves is the first step of acknowledging how we truly feel about ourselves. Mentally, Physically, and emotionally are what we should consider when taking actual care of ourselves.

Mental Self Care

Learning what we like and don’t like. What makes us truly happy and at ease throughout a period of time. Learning how to feel and accept our faults. Becoming one with our spiritual self and being easy with our thoughts.

Physical Self Care

Health updates.

Hygiene awareness.

Appearance grooming.

Exercise.

Eating right.

skin, nails and hair treatments.

image0 (7).jpeg

Emotional Self Care

Praying.

Eliminating any stressful events.

Not being judgmental.

Enjoying the moment.

Learning how to love.

Accepting love.

Being patient.

Being patient is crucial to learning how to not compare ourselves to others or their achievements. Learning how to take our time and prefect our craft, business, etc. “Rome was not built in a day” and neither were we. It took nine months for us to even develop in the womb. Comparing ourselves sets back our biological clock. When we see others climb the success ladder, we don’t know how long it took them to reach to the top. That’s why staying in our own lane and mastering patience is essential to feeding our soul. Everyone is different and has different paths in life.

e.g; It may take me 5 years to be a assistant manager at my workplace and 2 years for you to become a manager at the same work place. But that doesn’t mean the other person is better than the other. Everyone has their own timing in life and that’s what makes life so special.

Coming to terms with certain aspects of life allows growth within yourself. Judging other people or neglecting health is not self care. Self care is about loving yourself in many more ways than one. Understanding your passion and what gives you drive, maintaining your health and canceling anything that brings stress. Self Care is treating others with respect, loving them, and allowing them to love you. Self care is being a good person even when no one is watching.

Model To Photographer

Jack of all trades …maybe?

My goal is to create content that tells a story. Take a look at life from my view.

As humans we are not made to just to do one thing and settle. We have been multi- tasking for years. Someone asked me “ I thought you were model, so how can you be a photographer? “. I noticed how people can become baffled when they see you do something else other than what they’re normally use to seeing you do.

My response is always “I do both”. I never really give a reason to why I do both but here I am today telling you all about it. Having more than one job/hobby isn’t taboo (I know shocking!). So here’s my answer: I simply enjoy both.  I get pleasure from doing both my passions , which I am very dedicated to. I’m a creative visionary so it’s impossible for me not to recreate my ideas and indulge in projects other than myself. Learning photography is just as tedious as learning how to pose in front  of a camera. Believe it or not, they both take a lot of time. I honestly put my all into my work and every piece I put out is very special to me. There’s always a story behind every picture. That’s what intrigues me even more when I see a photo. It’s literally art that speaks a thousand words or more. Seeing my ideas come to life is so satisfying and I enjoy working with my muses. My favorite types of photography would have to be architectural, portrait, and fashion photography. I take my craft serious and usually prefer to work one and one to capture the perfect moments.
